JJ Dagorret, President

Automated Ag Systems began in 2007 as a family owned and operated business. Key to the companies success is JJ Dagorret’s knowledge and ability to design and build  the equipment produced by Automated Ag Systems. With a background in custom harvesting, equipment manufacturing, and also as a grower, JJ knew that the industry was moving rapidly forward.

JJ began his career in 1997, when he and his wife purchased their first set of harvesters and started a custom harvesting operation, employing 4-12 people. The couple traveled throughout California, harvesting prunes and pistachios. This experience helped JJ built a strong customer base for harvesting as well as equipment repair.

During their third year in business, the two had an opportunity to purchase an established business that manufactured one of the machines they used during harvest, the bin carrier. Purchased in March of 1998, they took over the customer base, sales, service, and manufacturing of the bin carrier.

As custom harvesting was still part of the yearly operations, JJ took his talents to another height. He developed a three wheel tree shaker and receiver. This set of machines was able to harvest 8 trees per minute without damage to the tree or the product and stay consistent all day.

From the beginnings of his career through today JJ has kept this passion for building quality equipment and serving his customers.  This passion for serving the needs of the customer and his skills as a designer, builder and an experienced orchardist have equipped JJ to be on the forefront of solving many technology, workforce and operational problems facing the modern agricultural industry.
